1 Available patches

1.1 Hyperwave Information Server 4.1

Important Note:

The patch #1 for Hyperwave Information Server 4.0 is still necessary for upgrades from Hyperwave Information Server 2.x to Hyperwave Information Server 4.1 under Windows NT. So please apply patch #1 BEFORE upgrading a Hyperwave Information Server 2.x to Hyperwave Information Server 4.1. R 4.0 Patch #1 is also available in this directory directory.

1.1.1 R 4.0 Patch #1

Patch status:

required. Patch must be applied before an upgrade from 2.x to 4.0.

Applicable to:

Hyperwave Information Server 2.x for Windows/NT

Solves problem:

When upgrading from previous versions of Hyperwave Information Server (2.x), the upgrade process of the data residing in the Hyperwave database may be incomplete. This patch will fix the problem and should be applied to the 2.x database files PRIOR to an upgrade to Hyperwave Information Server 4.0.

1.1.2 Patch #1

recommended.

Applicable to:

Hyperwave Information Server 4.1 all UNIX platforms

Solves problem:

This patch (#1) fixes a problem with the LDAP gateway. There is a communication problem between the Hyperwave Information Server and the gateway related to the transmission of the user name.

1.1.3 Patch #2

Patch status:

recommended.

Applicable to:

Hyperwave Information Server 4.1 all platforms

Solves problem:

This patch (#2) solves the following problems:

• Reload problem after editing text.
• Missing base for relative links during insertion of HTML files.
• Problems related to defining new release procedures using NS <4.05.
• Release workflow is now running out of the box for a newly installed server (hwsystem/hwsystem).

NOTE:Installing the patch does NOT modify your templates! The new files are installed in subdirectories of the patches/is41p2 directory in your server's home directory. Please copy them to the same location in your server's wavemaster directory.

An automatic update is not done, because it might damage the current template configuration, if the templates have been changed.
